A guide for your stay

Arrival instructions

Check-in at 5 PM and check-out at 11 am. Other times must be agreed in advance. It is keyless access to all doors and parking. Codes will be provided before arrival.

How to get there

Address for the apartment is Langbakkgutua 10, 2612 Sjusjøen https://goo.gl/maps/sSzmr3qt88yNpn646.

Take off from the E6 from south or north and follow signs to “Sjusjøen”.

When you get to Sjusjøen: Drive until you reach the Kiwi store and take left directly after the store. After passing the Kiwi-building, drive another 50m and down to the left – then you are there! You see the garage door as you approach to the right.

If you arrive by bus from Lillehammer, you jump off at Kiwi and follow the instructions above. From garagedoor walk straight ahead to building 6 and follow instructions below.

Parking

A code for opening the doors to the hallways and garage is a 4-digit code provided. To open the garage door, enter the door code provided, walk in and push the “up” button inside.

Drive into the car park and keep to the right. Place no. 80 is located almost in the innermost and on the left hand. “80” is written on the concrete floor and the space is reserved for you only. When you drive out the door will open automatically.

There are 4 guest parking spaces along the wall on the outside the garage. First to the mill principle applies.

Access to the apartment

From the parking: Walk towards the exit, which is slightly to the left in front of the parking lot. Walk through the long hallway, out the door and to the right. The apartment is located in building 6 which is then straight ahead. There’s a “6” at the maindoor. Use the 4 digit code provided to open the door to building 6. Walk the stairs to the top floor. The apartment is the first door on the left hand – apartment 80. The apartment is equipped with a code lock. To unlock the door – enter the 6-digit code including “*”, as provided.

When leaving the apartment, enter “*” to lock the door. To lock the door from the inside, turn the switch to the left so that it glows red. If you turn right, it will turn green and the door is unlocked.

Finally there!

By the time you read this, you’ve hopefully made it into the apartment. To make it easy for you, we have created this guide so that you can start using the apartment and the surrounding facilities.

Contact information

If you need help with something, just send a message primarily through the service where you booked or call if it is urgent. If something is not in the condition we should expect, it is important that you contact us quickly so that we can sort it out.

Fire – IMPORTANT

At the front door there is detailed descriptions how to reset the fire alarm if there is a false alarm. In short, here’s what you are going to do:

  • The alarm is reset at the front door by pressing the RED button for 2 sec
  • Air out and press GREEN button for 2 sec

The above must be performed within 3 minutes of triggering the alarm. The fire department is called automatically if the alarm is not reset. You must then expect a cost of NOK 5000-10000 for unnecessary call-outs.

WiFi HiFi TV Radio

Wifi password will be provided together with door-codes etc. Internet is high speed fibre network. The TV is connected to the internet and several streaming services are available. The TV-APP “RiksTV” is the service providing most norwegian TV-channels.

A soundbar is connected to the TV. You can play audio from the TV or connect to your mobile via bluetooth to stream music or internet radio. On the soundbar, press the source symbol on the right until “BT pairing” appears in the display. Select “TheView Samsung soundbar” on your phone and you are connected. We also have a DAB+ radio available.

Heating

The heat is remotely controlled via smart home controls and is turned on before you arrive. There should be no need to override this. If the heat is not like you want, set the thermostats to the desired temperature or let us know and we will arrange this remotely.

Fireplace

If you want to light the fireplace, that’s fine. The ventilation system has its own mode for fireplaces that can be used to prevent smoke from coming out of the stove. The ventilation system is located in the large wardrobe. Press the touch display to find the Fireplace mode. Firewood is available from our storage room – check “Services & secrets” for prices and payment.

Kitchen

There are various spices and basic ingredients in the kitchen. You may want to check before you trade in much of this. If supplies you use from the kitchen cabinets are empty during the stay, please buy new and leave it as a nice gesture to other guest and us when we arrive next time. It is a short distance to the store. We appreciate if you use the kitchen fan when cooking. Just pull out the fan and it will start by itself. It’s super easy!

Waste and source separation

We think it is important to sort at source and appreciate if you also do it when you are on Sjusjøen. We sort by paper, glass/metal, plastic, food waste and residual waste. Waste containers are found 100m into Nordseterveien. Find it on Google Maps – click here!

Outdoor furniture

There are chairs, a table and even a sunbed in the storage room on the balcony. It is not allowed to grill on the balcony in the condominium, so we are not equipped with a barbecue

Ski storage

Just outside the entrance there is a locked ski storage room where you can store your skis safely. Skis and bicycles should not enter the apartment. The code is the same as already provided.

Ski preparation room

If you want to prepare your skis, there are two separate waxing-rooms in the underground car park for this. There should be racks there, but iron and wax you have to bring yourself. The closest room is 90 degrees to the left when you come from the apartment and into the underground car park. It’s a black door. Just to the left inside the black door there is a new door. There’s the waxing-room. Please note that the floor may be slippery due to wax and glider. Remember to clean up!

Charging electric car

Parking space No. 80 has its own charger. You must bring your own charging cable. We activate the charger remotely and there is a fee per kw/h to charge – Contact us for more info. There is also a public charging station outside the Kiwi store.

General use of order

Close windows and doors when leaving the apartment during your stay. Always turn off the TV, coffee maker and candlelights when leaving the apartment. If there is damage to inventory or anything else, you should immediately contact us.

Check-out

Check-out takes place no later than 11 am. Other times must be agreed in advance due to housekeeping prior to next guest.

Turn off the TV, coffee maker, unplug the hair dryer and make sure all doors and windows are closed. Run the outside curtains in the living room all the way up.

The apartment should be tidy and all waste should be brought. There is a vacuum cleaner, washing bucket and broom in the storage room in the hallway if needed during your stay. Cleaning is included in the rent. If you have rented bed linen and towels, this can be placed on the floor inside of the front door. When you leave, lock the door by entering *.
